Utah’s current tint laws allow for only 43% tint on the front side windows.

Tint violations are a first offense, meaning you can get pulled over if your tint is suspected of being too dark. We aim to change that! Working with Utah lawmakers, we hope to modify our tint laws in a way that will benefit everyone in Utah. Your donations are essential to make this a reality.

There are many benefits to tint, lower cabin temperatures, less air conditioning needed, preservation of car interiors and blocking harmful UV rays just to name a few. At 43% Utah’s tint laws are the highest in the Intermountain West, allowing the most light and heat into your car. We aim to keep pace with our neighbors, Nevada 35%, Colorado 27%, Idaho 35% and Arizona 33%, and improve the lives of our Utah residents.

Allowing less light into the cabins of our vehicles reduces the amount of cooling or air conditioning needs to make the cabin comfortable which is good for our environment. Utah summers are HOT, we have an average of 222 days of sunshine in our beautiful state. This means we need greater protection in our cars. Tint also blocks the harmful UV rays which can cause sunburn even through the windows. Protecting our health and our environment is a win for everyone.

Darker tint will also protect the interior of our vehicles. Faded interiors devalue our cars and can be cost prohibitive to replace. Changing our tint laws will protect your investment and maintain the value of your car.
